Cold outside with freezing rain now and then, but sunshine out right now. One cat on the back of my chair sleeping, another in front of the fireplace and the third just went back upstairs probably to his room for his afternoon nap. Nice relaxing Sunday afternoon.
Just starting to watch the Packers-Giants game, GO PACKERS. Unfortunately, my team, the Saints, got eliminated yesterday. So, I'll now pull for D's team. Although, my real team won the national championship this past Monday. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! What a great game! Six straight years the SEC has won the championship and BAMA has two of them.
None of the above has anything to do with the title of this blog. So, on to the subject. A few weeks ago we got a new dishwasher. We have/had the original appliances that were put in our house 10 years ago when it was built. When we were buying the house, we were just glad the owners were living the appliances so we didn't have to be concerned with getting new ones at that time. But, they were low line appliances like normally put in when builders build houses to sell. One day I mentioned to D I thought it was time to at least replace the dishwasher because it just wasn't getting the job done. We went, we looked and we bought a new stainless Maytag dishwasher. The next day it was delivered and installed. Never really thought the old dishwasher was that loud, but after using the new one OMG at the difference. You can hardly tell it is running it is so quiet. Last weekend D received an email from Home Depot that showed a refrigerator we had looked at the same time we got the dishwasher, not at HD but another store. But, when we were going to check it out yesterday D looked it up online and the price had gone up again. So, we went back to DeWhitt's as they were having a sale. We picked the right day to go as there was a one day sale going on and the refrigerator we were considering was included in that sale, plus a manufacturer rebate. That sealed the deal. Then I noticed the stove we had looked at earlier was part of the one day sale. The salesman said there was a rebate on it, also. Hmmmmm....same for the microwave/hood. So, a trip to DeWhitt's to check on the refrigerator turned into a buying trip to complete my kitchen appliances. They will be delivered on Friday. So, this time next week Pilgrim will be able to sit in the kitchen and stare at himself in his choice...dishwasher, fridge or stove. Looking forward to playing with my new kitchen toys. :)
Wonder how long it will be before I write another blog here. I forget, what more can I say.
